In this legislation case study, we provide an overview of our support to a client in ensuring legal compliance. Our consultants worked with Europe’s leading manufacturing company to develop a legislation register for use in their business risk management systems. We worked with the client to understand the business operations and processes so that relevant legislation could be identified.
The register identified the key legislation applicable to the company and its operations and provided a detailed summary of the requirements. Both European and UK legislation was included (pre Brexit) in the project. In addition, the document detailed the procedures and other controls in place for each legislative element to ensure the company complied with the law. The legislation register provided assurance to the company directors and the board that controls were in place for each legislative requirement thereby managing risk effectively.
